Cornice and Custom Metal Work

Carpentry repairs to the roof cornice woodwork enabled partner Schmeer Sheet Metal to install a beautiful custom copper built-in gutter system.

Before work began on a 1900’s-era cornice, a cross-sectional sketch was produced to assist in communications. Documenting existing conditions in this way gives us a detailed picture of all restoration needed, including predicted repairs and those previously hidden.

The decay is evident in this close-up view of a porch roof cornice/entabluture support beam interval structure awaiting repairs.

Scaffolding provides the safe access required to reach the areas needed for roof cornice repair.

A drone provides the perfect view of the exquisitely designed custom copper porch roof and the built in copper gutter along the main roof edge.
